Lunchmoney Gallery presents PAINTINGS, the second solo exhibition by British artist Daniel van der Noon.

Blurring the lines between illustration, painting and collage his new series of works mark a departure away from his characteristically chaotic, verbose and sharp pen-made wanderings. The series of canvases instead trade in an altogether distinct, yet recognisable, currency of visual witticisms, composite words and bold stretches of colour.

The exhibition will also present works which identify with his new-found fascination with aged-paper salvaged from Lisbon, London, and Hamburg - including a series of architectural drawings working with original botanical pressings dated 1903 - as well as other comparatively clean, shapely and minimalistic paper and acrylic works that appeal to the age-old axiom: “less is more”.
